And one more ! The leader in providing space and coworking services WeWork now accepts payments in cryptocurrency.
According to a post on its website, WeWork has partnered with payment processor BitPay to accept bitcoin (BTC), ether (ETH), and USD Coin (USDC) and Paxos (PAX) stablecoins for payments. In the near future, WeWork plans to accept more cryptocurrencies as payment for its offers.
In addition, the US platform Coinbase, which recently went public, will be the first WeWork member to use cryptocurrency to pay for membership in coworking spaces.
WeWork’s statement does not specify with which cryptocurrency Coinbase plans to pay for its subscription, although it is likely that USDC is the preferred asset, as this stablecoin is strongly linked to the platform.
WeWork has also indicated that it will hold the accepted cryptocurrencies in its treasury, without indicating the proportions that the four crypto-assets will take.
